Council declares Dean Day
April 7 has been declared as Elizabeth R. Dean Day in conjunction with Michigan’s Arbor Week. A council resolution adopted Monday recognizes her “continuous contributions to tree care and preservation in Ann Arbor.” April 7 is the anniversary of her death. The Dean Fund Committee, which oversees a bequest she made to the city, is planning local Arbor Day celebrations.
