Jon Lockard, an Ann Arbor artist, pauses in front of a wall mural which was painted by 70 sixth graders at Northside School. Lockard spoke at the school Thursday night on joint art projects. Work on the 25-foot-long mural project was directed by Barbara Edwards, Northside's art teacher, and Sandra Tomasulo, a student teacher. Some of the children who worked on the mural about black Americans are shown with Lockard.
