Community High elated when professor drops by

Preston Slosson, former Community High School teacher and University of Michigan professor emeritus, dropped in unexpectedly at CHS recently and found himself the center of attention - not an unusual position for the well-known 89-year old educator. Slosson, former professor of history at the U-M, taught in the school's Community Resource program for several years before leaving Ann Arbor in 1979. He talked with students and staff and autographed copies of his latest book, "A Flight of Fifty," a collection of essays and lectures. "He is very well-loved at Community," observed Maggie Jewett, Community Resources coordinator.
