Biblical scholar to speak

Dr. George Mendenhall, Professor of Ancient and Biblical Studies at the University of Michigan will speak on “The Bible and the Modern Near East” at the Ecumenical Campus Center, 921 Church St., at 7:30 p.m. Monday. Mendenhall recently returned from Syria, where he participated in a conference on Palestinian Antiquities at the University of Aleppo. The free lecture-discussion is open to the public.
