Age 67, died Tuesday, December 27, 1983 at his residence. He was born January 12, 1916 in Oakland County, Michigan, the son of William and Clara Greer. He had been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1948 coming here from Plymouth. He was married to Maryjane Hamilton on August 25, 1939 in Plymouth. He received his A.B. in 1938 and his M.A. in 1946 from the University of Michigan. Mr. Greer came to the Ann Arbor Public School System in 1946 as a teacher and was also Chairman of the Business Education Department. In 1951 he became Principal of Adult Education. Later, he became high school comptroller. In 1965 he became Director of Continuing and Community Education, retiring in 1977. He was very active in the Kiwanis Club of Ann Arbor (Downtown) since 1955 and had a perfect attendance record. He had also served as treasurer of the Club from 1967 thru 1977. Surviving include his wife, Mayjane; two sons, Kim H. of Roanoke, Virginia and Malcolm T. of Honolulu, Hawaii; three grandchildren; one brother, Gerald Greer of Houghton Lake and several other relatives. Cremation has taken place. Private services will be held. The family requests no flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Kiwanis Foundation of Ann Arbor.
