Age 77, died September 22, 1984, at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital after a brief illness. Mrs. Berger was born on March 25, 1907, in Vienna, Austria, the daughter of Emil and Berta Gottlieb Brunner. She came to the United States in 1939, and subsequently earned a bachelor's degree from Wayne State University and a master's degree from the University of Michigan. She was the Medical Librarian at St. Joseph's Mercy Hospital, Ann Arbor, from 1956 until her retirement in 1972. Her death is mourned by her daughter, Kittie Morelock of Ann Arbor; her sister, Klara Brunner of New York City; and many dear friends and colleagues. She will be remembered for her friendship and courage, her love of music and literature, and her deep commitment to human services. A memorial service will be held at the First Unitarian Universalist Church, 1917 Washtenaw, Ann Arbor, at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 14, 1984.
