PATRICIA BALLARD, broker/owner of Coldwell Banker Old Town Hall Realty, has been elected to a National Association of Realtors post and PETER M CORNELL, an associate broker with the firm, has been elected District 7 vice president of the Michigan Association of Realtors. Ballard was named to the national association's Legislative Committee  and the subcommittee on license law. A function of the group is to consider matters pertaining to state and local legislation affecting the real estate industry in such areas as government spending and taxation, land use, condominiums, rental housing, real estate finance, real estate license law, and real estate securities. Ballard also was recently elected as a state director of the Michigan Association of Realtors. As district vice president, Cornell is the official representative of the Michigan Association of Realtors and is responsible for coordination of policies within the district.
