NEW LOOK ON LIBERTY — One can't walk more than a couple of blocks on Liberty Street these days without noting dramatic changes along Ann Arbor's downtown thoroughfare. On the corner of Liberty and Fifth (left), a steam shovel continues excavation at the site of the former Sun Bakery, where the Shipman Building office will be built. Just east of that site (above), at the Tally Hall project, an ironworker goes about his business under the watchful eyes of a cluster of sidewalk superintendents.
