BEST IN THE STATE - Harjap Chahal, a waitress at the Raja Rani restaurant in Ann Arbor, has been named "most hospitable" food server in the state by the Michigan Restaurant Association and AAA. Chahal, pictured here with customers Marcel Muller, left, and Jean Carduner, was presented the award at the annual Michigan and Great Lakes Food Service Show at Cobo Hall in Detroit last Sunday. Chahal received more mail-in votes from patrons of Raja Rani than did any other food server in the state. Vote totals were adjusted to reflect the population density of the area in which each restaurant was located.
