Bethke, Albert H.

552 Second St., Ann Arbor, Mich.

Aged 82, died Friday, August 23, 1985, at Saline Evangelical Home following an extended illness. Born June 29, 1903, in Ann Arbor, he was the son of Ernest and Josephine Hackbarth Bethke, and had been a resident of Ann Arbor his entire life. On April 13, 1925, he married Louise Schuler; she preceded him in death on March 29, 1965. He married Laura Schearly on Sept. 15, 1968; she survives. Mr. Bethke had been employed for many years at Hoover Ball & Bearing Compnay and Argus Camera. He was a member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ, Golden Rule Masonic Lodge No. 159, Zal Gaz Grotto, and Elks Lodge No. 325. Survivors besides his wife include a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Elsie Bethke of Ann Arbor; three grandsons, four great grandchildren; a step-daughter, Ertis Hannan of Ann Arbor; three step grandchildren and four step great grandchildren; one brother, Richard, and a sister, Edna Steeb, both of Ann Arbor; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at Muehlig Chapel with the Rev. Al Goddard officiating. Burial will be in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Bethlehem United Church of Christ. Friends may call at the chapel from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. today.
