Age 99, died Saturday, Jan. 4, 1986. She was born Oct. 11, 1886, in Aton, Canada, a daughter of August and Mary (Phiffer) Schenk, and had been a resident of this area since 1923. On Oct. 2, 1902, she was married to Charles S. Bixby in Caro, Mich.; he preceded her in death on April 27, 1967. Surviving are two sons, H. Glenn Bixby of Detroit and Garth L. Bixby of Stone Mountain, Ga.; one daughter, Mrs. Raymond (Marita) Blaske of Ann Arbor; seven grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren and nine great great grandchildren; also two sisters, one brother and several other relatives. She was preceded in death by a son, Adrian C. Bixby. Funeral services will be held today at Muehlig Chapel at 5 p.m. with the Rev. Dwight Anderson officiating. Private burial will be made in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 3 p.m. until the time of service.
