Kalkaska, Mich.
(Formerly of Ypsilanti)
Age 65, died Friday afternoon, Aug. 1, 1986, at Beyer Hospital. He was born Oct. 4, 1920, in Royal Oak, the son of Lloyd and Veda (Munch) Brown. Mr. Brown, a lifelong Ypsilanti area resident, was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and had been employed by the Chrysler Corporation Introl Division, retiring in 1976. He was a member of the Ann Arbor Fraternity Lodge No. 262 F& the Moslem Shrine of Detroit; Chapter 1 X-POW of New Port Richey, Fla., and VFW of Kalkaska. He had served for many years on the Board of Directors of the IDC Credit Union. On May 15, 1943, he married Lorraine Nimke; she survives. Also surviving are four children, Mrs. Paul (Pamela) Grob of Ann Arbor, Mrs. Ike (Trudy) Isaac of Ypsilanti, Mrs. Douglas (Linda) Young of Manitou Beach, and Kenneth (Patricia) Brown of Ann Arbor; one sister, Evelyn Jenison of Kenosha, Wis.; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday, Aug. 4, 1986, at Nie-Fontana Funeral Home, 2400 Carpenter Rd., with the Rev. Patrick Kelsey officiating. Interment will be in Arborcrest Cemetery. Memorials may be made in Mr. Brown's honor to The American Heart Association. Envelopes are available at Nie-Fontana Funeral Home where the family will receive friends Saturday 7-9 p.m. and Sunday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
