Homeowner, egg-thrower want to file charges
A 31-year-old Dexter Township man, whose house was egged by three teens, and one of the teens shot in the back with a BB gun by the homeowner, have told Washtenaw Sheriff's deputies they want to file charges against each other. Deputies said they found the homeowner standing over the teens with the BB gun at his house in the 9400 block of Huron Street about 8:30 p.m. Monday. The teens admitted egging the man's house. The man also admitted shooting one of the teens in the back because the teen refused to stop when the homeowner ordered him to halt. The teen was not injured, apparently because the BBs bounced off his denim jacket. The case remains open pending review by the county prosecutor.
