QB Club celebrates anniversary

Jamie Morris, Joe Morris, Jerry Burns and Bo Schembechler will be among the speakers Tuesday when members of the Bob Ufer Quarterback Club assemble for their 41st anniversary celebration.

The event is scheduled for the Barton Hills Country Club and dinner is at 7p.m.

Jamie Morris, Michigan tailback, recently completed a spectacular career and his brother, Joe, runs the ball for the New York Giants.

Burns, who coached the Minnesota Vikings to the NFC championship game against Super Bowl champion Washington, will be toastmaster and will receive the Bennie Oosterbaan Alumnus Award.

Schembechler will enlighten club members on the prospects for the ‘88 football season.

Howard King will introduce Michigan’s senior athlete of year, based on a vote of Michigan letter-men. Club membership is $40 and persons interested in attending the event should contact Don Robinson, 973-9711.
