Age 91, died suddenly December 23, 1988 at her home. She was born January 21, 1897 in Saline, a daughter of Adam and Elizabeth (Teufel) Klump. She has been a resident of Ann Arbor most of her life. She was married to Gordon Baumgartner July 16, 1924. He preceded her in death April 27, 1962. She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Ann Arbor, and she had taught Sunday School at St. Paul’s for 30 years. She was a member of the Burns Park Senior Citizens and the Senior Citizens Guild, a member of the West Side Women’s Club and was active in the Red Cross during World War II. She is survived by two daughters, Shirley Ann Bender of Ft. Smith, AR; Jacqueline Jean Bonding of Rochester, MI; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, December 28 at the Muehlig Chapel with the Reverend Park Frederick officiating. Burial will be made in Bethlehem Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the Burns Park Senior Citizens or to St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the Muehlig Chapel 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m., Tuesday, December 27.
