Black churches in the Ann Arbor area traditionally have used dinners, musicals and bake sales to raise money, however New Hope Baptist Church in Ann Arbor came up with the unique idea of a Black Art Show to sell paintings by noted African-American artists. Bill Ratcliff of Ann Arbor ponders a piece during the show last weekend at the church.
