Age 81, died Saturday, February 16, 1991 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital following a lengthy illness. He was born August 28, 1909 in Brookfield, MI, the son of Alfred J. and Mabel Guerney Powell. He had been a lifelong Ann Arbor resident. On January 1, 1940, he was married to Hattie E. DeWolf in Ohio, and she survives. Mr. Powell had been a member of the Moose Lodge #1253 since 1942. Surviving, in addition to his wife, Hattie, is one sister, Charlotte Fish of Woodland Hills, CA. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 20, 1991, 2 p.m. at the MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL with the Rev. Russell L. Smith officiating. Burial will follow in the Hamburg Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Muehlig Chapel Monday, 7-9 p.m. and Tuesday 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
