Age 73, died March 12, 1991 in his home. Mr. Drummond was born September 24, 1917 in Kalamazoo, MI, the son of Merle V. and Felesta M. (Dewindt) Drummond. He was a resident of Ann Arbor, MI; Geneseo, NY; Albuquerque, New Mexico and Kalamazoo, MI. He married Elizabeth "Betty" Biddle in Bloomington, IN on August 30, 1944. Mr. Drummond was Dean of the College of Arts & Sciences at Eastern Michigan University. Survivors include his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Biddle Drummond of Ann Arbor; his son Robert Ward Drummond of Tucson, AZ; a granddaughter Chelsea of Tucson, AZ; one brother Jack D. Drummond of Daytona Beach Shore, FL; two sisters, Blanche (Mrs. J. G.) Van Volkenburgh of Holland, MI and Joyce Tonander of Portage, MI; a Mother-In-Law Dona Roberts Biddle of Bloomington, IN; five nieces and one nephew. Funeral service will be held Saturday, March 16, 11 a.m. at the First Methodist Church of Ypsilanti, with the Rev. Marsha Woolley and Dr. Ira Wheatley, head of the Department of History and Philosophy. A service will also be held Monday, March 18, 11 a.m. at Beck Memorial Chapel, Bloomington Indiana University. Burial will take place in Bloomington, IN. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Don and Betty Drummond Scholarship Fund Development Office, 11 Welch Hall, Eastern Michigan University, Ypsilanti, MI, 48197.
