Pommerening, Otto Paul

Age 88, died Saturday, February 1, 1992. He was born January 26, 1904, in Ann Arbor, the son of August and Mathilde (Wruck) Pommerening. He was married to Laura Mercer and she preceded him in death December 16, 1983. Mr. Pommerening was a graduate of the University of Michigan and had been an All American Football Player in 1928. He was a member of the Nativity United Church of Christ in Livonia and the M Club. Mr. Pommerening had been a civil engineer employed by the Wayne County Road Commission, retiring in 1966. Survivors include one son, Dr. David F. (Pamela) Pommerening of West Bloomfield; one sister, Anne Pommerening of Saline; and several nieces and nephews. Private services have been held. Burial took place in Forest Hill Cemetery. Memorial tributes may be made to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements by MUEHLIG CHAPEL.
