Jebe, Noma L.
Ann Arbor, MI
Age 81, died February 1, 1992 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after several weeks of illness. She was born May 26, 1910 in Bruce Township, Benton County, IA, the daughter of Charles D. and Florence (Frank) Rupprich, and had been a resident of Ann Arbor since 1960. She married Emil H. Jebe June 16, 1941. She was a member of the American Guild of Organists, and was associated with the Washtenaw Land Conservancy. She was also a Landmark Sponsor of The Nature Conservancy, and was formerly active in the Women's Association of the Ann Arbor Symphony, and the Michigan Theater. She had been a music teacher in the Public Schools in Iowa, and was a former music supervisor of the Philadelphia, PA Schools, and was an active supporter of the Interlochen Academy of the Arts. Surviving are her husband Emil and eight cousins. Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be announced at a later date. Memorial tributes may be made to the Noma Rupprich Jebe organ fund of the University of Northern Iowa Foundation or the Interlochen Academy of the Arts or to the Michigan Chapter of the Nature Conservancy.
