Domino’s Pizza Inc. is allowing another one of its franchisees to temporarily drop its controversial 30-minute delivery guarantee.
The Spokane franchise of Domino’s Pizza Inc. has received corporate permission to instead test what Domino’s calls a total satisfaction guarantee, said Tom Bryant, the franchise owner.
The total satisfaction guarantee promises customers $3 off the cost of a pizza if they are unhappy with the product for any reason.
Total satisfaction is currently being tested by about five franchisees, said Mike Jenkins, a spokesman for the Ann Arbor Township-based company.
The 30-minute guarantee has been the foundation of a marketing strategy that made Domino’s second only to No. 1 Pizza Hut.
