FUN AT THE FARM

OK, if you think what the above group is doing looks easy, just try it sometime. You missed your chance Sunday during the celebration of spring at Ann Arbor's Buhr Park and Cobblestone Farm. The youngsters were making slow progress trying to walk in unison on a pair of wood planks. It was just one of the games for children to play during the afternoon. Front to back are: Anthony Yap, 9; Brianne Connolly, 5; Erin Connolly, 8; Kimberley Yap, 6; and Mary Wessel Walker, 8. At left, Sam Jamison attempts to throw a rope over a high tree limb during part of the lumberjack competition. Other festivities included a bike ride and an Arbor Day ceremony.
