Age 41, died September 6, 1994 at Mercy Hospital, San Diego. Born and raised in Ann Arbor and a resident of San Diego for the past 14 years, he was preceded in death by his father John in 1993. Survivors include his mother Jewel; sister and brother-in-law, Connie and John Belda; niece, Lauren Belda; and loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. John was graduated from Colorado State University and received a Master of Hospital Administration from Georgia State University. He was associated with the Humana Hospital Corp for several years and established Hunter Appliance Repair Company in 1980. He was active in support groups for AIDS victims and was interested in the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation. Cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday, October 9, 1994 at Botsford Cemetery on Earhart Road, Ann Arbor. The Reverand Micheal Lindvahl of the First Presbyterian Church will preside. Friends may call at the Hunter residence afterwards. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the John C. Hunter/Father and Son Fund c/o of the Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, 121 W. Washington St. or the HIV/AIDS Resource Center, 3075 Clark Road, Ypsilanti, MI 48197. The Muehlig Funeral Chapel, Inc., is in charge of arrangements.
