Togs replace bouquets in Bivouac expansion

Bivouac. 336 S. State St. in downtown Ann Arbor, will expand by leasing the former Louise Flowers and Gifts Shop building, which recently closed.

The new space, which is sandwiched between the Bivouac and Bivouac outdoor stores, will allow better coordination of both shops. Ed Davidson, owner of the Bivouac, said the expansion should be finished by mid-January.

With the additional space, Bivouac plans to begin carrying designer sports and western wear from Ralph Lauren’s Polo collection. That line will be in addition to its outdoor apparel and footwear for camping, hiking, rock climbing and other outdoor activities.

Louise Flowers, which was open for 50 years, closed in part because its owner Louise Meyer died earlier this year.
