Earhart, Richard Mt. Dora, FL (Formerly of Ann Arbor) Age 91, died in his sleep at home in Mt. Dora, Florida May 18, 1995. Born in Evanston, Illinois March 30, 1904, he was the son of Harry Boyd and Carrie Beal Earhart. He spent his youth in Detroit with his parents and three sisters, and in 1920 the family moved to Ann Arbor. He graduated from the Choate School, and the University of Michigan School of Mechanical Engineering in 1926. On September 10, 1932 he married Ina Lenore Wood of Minneapolis. She died on December 6, 1982. He became a well-known farmer of Washtenaw and Lenawee Counties until the 1960's. He was president of Boyd Realty Co., and RELM, Inc. He was a trustee and member of the Earhart Foundation; and sat on the Board of Directors of the National Bank and Trust Co. He was a lifelong member of Rotary International, and member of the Ann Arbor Club. He was a member of Beta Theta Pi and Tau Beta Pi, and a Friend of the University of Michigan. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include: one sister, Elizabeth E. Kennedy of Montecito, CA; two daughters, Patricia Earhart of Sydney, Australia and Mary E. Bawden of Lyme Center, New Hampshire; two grandaughters, Cecily E. Horton Schneck of Houston, Texas and Heather D. Horton Sidwell of Hailey, Idaho; one great grandson of Houston. A Memorial service will be held at Botsford Cemetery, Earhart Road, Ann Arbor at 3 p.m. on Thursday, June 29, 1995. Arrangements by MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL, INC.
