Fillinger, John B. (Jack)

Age 62, died Friday, October 6, 1995 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. He was born August 24, 1933 in Ann Arbor, the son of Arnim M. and Mary K (Sauer) Fillinger. He was a lifelong Ann Arbor area resident. He attended Michigan State University. Mr. Fillinger owned and operated Fillinger Typesetting in Ann Arbor for 25 years, retiring in March of 1995. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. Survivors include his wife of 41 years Dorothy (Kazmaier) Fillinger; four sons, John (Elizabeth) Fillinger of Ann Arbor, Michael (Michelle) Fillinger of Grand Ledge, Matthew (Nancy) Fillinger of Saline, Christopher (Shellie) Fillinger of Monett, MO; ten grandchildren; three sisters, Carol (Charles) Ghent of Chelsea, Mary Kay (Robert) Dorr of Columbus, OH, Jan (Robert) Corwen of Long Island, NY; one brother-in-law Lloyd (Mary Ann) Fairbanks of Saginaw; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Richard Fillinger. Cremation has taken place. A memorial visitation will be held Sunday at MUEHLIG CHAPEL from 1-3 p.m. and 5-8 p.m. Memorial service will take place 1 p.m. Monday at the Zion Lutheran Church with the Rev. Daniel Johns officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church Youth Fund.
