Keymer, James
Brighton, MI
Age 76, passed away Monday morning, September 2, 1996 at Veteran's Hospital, Ann Arbor. He was born May 20 in New York, NY a son of Edward and Eva (Barnett) Keymer. On April 13, 1946 he was married to Louise M. Dunsmoor in Mt. Vernon, NY. Mr. Keymer served during WWII with the U.S. Air Force. He worked for the New York Central Railroad in New York and Detroit for thirty years. He also owned Hamburg Hardware Store until 1986. He was a Charter Member of Chilson Hills Baptist Church and served as Moderator in 1986 & 1987. He sang in a Gospel Quartet. He was a volunteer and later a staff member of the Salvation Army, and was a past member of the Hamburg Chamber of Commerce. Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Paul Richard Keymer of Brighton; and a daughter, Phyllis Ann Keymer of Ft. Worth, TX. Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held 6 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, at Chilson Baptist Church, 4440 Brighton Rd., Brighton, with Dr. David W. Swink officiating. Mr. Keymer's ashes will be placed in the church's Columbarium at a later date. Memorial contributions in Mr. Keymer's name are suggested to the church.
