Ann Arbor library garners awards for Web site, program
The Ann Arbor District Library has won "Best of Show" awards in both the Web Site and Summer Reading Program categories in the American Library Association’s 1998 Public Relations Awards Competition.
About 300 other entries from libraries in the United States and Canada were submitted to the competition.
The library’s web site was set up last year. It offers access to the library’s online catalog, library information and subject resource guides.
The 1997 summer reading program, “Book a Summer Symphony,” combined youth and young adult summer reading programs, promoting reading through posters, magnets and bookmarks.
Awards will be presented to the library Sunday in Washington, D.C., during the annual conference of the American Library Association.
