Age 87, died Friday, October 2, 1998 at Saline Community Hospital. He was born January 2, 1911 in Vienna, IL to Eugene and Suda (Carter) Ausbrooks. On October 29, 1937 he married Maldetta Dotson in Angola, IL and she survives. Mr. Ausbrooks retired as a cook from Ypsilanti State Regional Hospital in 1972. Survivors in addition to his wife include one daughter, Shirley (Jerry) Zinker of Milan, three grandchildren, Michael, Julie (Dave) Paselk, and Kellee (Steve) Ware, nine great grandchildren, one brother, Marvin (Laura) Ausbrooks, one sister, Mae Peabody. He was preceded in death by five brothers and sisters. Funeral Services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday at Ochalek-Stark Funeral Home, Milan with Pastor Gordon Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Marble Park Cemetery, Milan. Memorial contributions may be made to Milan Baptist Church. Envelopes are available at the funeral home where friends may call Sunday 1-8 p.m.
