She was born November 3, 1918 in Brooklyn, NY, the daughter of George and Ethel (Burton) Rodger, and was raised in Rutherford, NJ. She graduated from Cornell University in 1940. In 1942 she married (Lt.) Justin J. Condon, and moved with him to various army posts while working as a civilian employee of the War Dept. for three years. After WWII ended, they lived in many locations throughout the country while he was employed by large manufacturing companies. These locations included Washington state, New York state, Michigan (St. Joseph), and Wisconsin. In 1980 they retired to Pt. Ludlow, WA. Mrs. Condon remained there for several years after her husband's death in 1988. She moved to Ann Arbor in 1994 to be closer to her daughter and daughter's family. While in Ann Arbor, she joined the Westminster Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Condon is survived by a son, James J. Condon of Charlottesville, VA and her daughter Margaret Condon Taylor; and granddaughters, Cathryn and Nora Taylor, all of Ann Arbor. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by her parents and a sister, Janet (Rodger) Hamlyn.. Arrangements have been made with Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor, MI 48104 for cremation. At her request, no memorial service will be held. The family suggest that any memorial contributions in her name be made to Arbor Hospice Residence, in care of Muehlig's.
