Ann Arbor, MI
Age 78, died Friday, November 12, 1999 at his home. He was born March 12, 1921 in Charlevoix, MI. The son of John and Josephine (Kuhl) Pesak. He was united in marriage to Michelle Blanche Norris in 1946 at St. Thomas the the Apostle Catholic Church. Charles was a Sergeant in the United States Army during World War II, and was also a member of the V.F.W. He graduated from Eastern Michigan University with a B.S. in Biology and also a teaching certificate. Charles retired from Michigan Bell in 1986, and after retirement volunteered installing Lifeline for the Elderly. He was a member of Michigan Bell Pioneers and St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Charles ushered at the U of M Stadium for over 30 years in section 42. He is survived by his wife Michelle of 52 years; children, Gayle M. Pesek of Ann Arbor, Jayne N. (Jeffrey) Bower of Ann Arbor, and Patty P. (David) Jensen of Long Beach, CA; grandchildren, Heather Wesolowski and Travis Wesolowski of Jackson, MI, Benjamin Charles Bower and Jonathan Bower of Ann Arbor and Jakob Jensen of Long Beach, CA; sisters Mary Reynolds and Billie Pesek, and dear friend Daniel Wesolowski. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, and two sisters. The Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday, Novemer 16, 1999 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church at 10 a.m. with Fr. Jerry Vincke officiating. Interment will be in St. Thomas Cemetery. Visitation will be held at MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL on Monday from 1-3 and 6-8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the church. A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home. Those wishing may make memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
