Dawn of the New Century
A library and study center has been established in University High School in memory of the late Prof. Marshall L. Byrn, who taught industrial arts here from 1926 to 1951. He died Nov. 23, 1951.
Located near the high school's industrial arts shop, the unit has been made possible through donations to the Marshall Byrn Memorial Fund by friends and associates.
Dean Willard C. Olson of the School of Education will deliver the dedication address in ceremonies Feb. 22.
The room will contain many of the current texts and reference materials on industrial arts and will have facilities for shop planing and equipment for reviewing current educational films.
