Age 67, died Wednesday, January 19, 2000 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital. She was born September 10, 1932 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Gerdes and Julia (Godfrey) Onago. Virginia was a school teacher at Kettering School in Wayne for 36 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ann Arbor, and was a longtime member of the Girl Scouts. Virginia loved to grow herbs, flowers, and vegetables. She is survived by her brother Robert Onago of Ann Arbor. Funeral services will be held Monday, January 24 at 10 a.m. at MUEHLIG FUNERAL CHAPEL. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1-6 p.m. Those wishing may make donations to the charity of their choice.
