Greer, Jeddie Leon
Saline, MI
Age 65, died Friday, September 22, 2000 at home. He was born July 7, 1935 in Competition, Missouri, the son of Jeddie and Gladys (Wright) Greer. He married Mary Ann Quinn on February 7, 1959 at St. Agatha's Catholic Church in Detroit and she survives. He was a member of the St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline, a former Corporal in the United States Marine Corps, and a graduate of University of Missouri. Jed was the former Vice-President of Planning and Development for the Huron Cement Division of National Gypsum Co. His favorite pastimes included family, friends, sailing and golf. Survivors in addition to his wife Mary Ann, include three children, Michelle (Robert) Homrich, Michael (Jenny) Greer and James Greer; four grandchildren; a brother, Michael (Becky) Greer; and numerous nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 30, 2000 at 10:30 a.m. from St. Andrew Catholic Church in Saline with Rev. Fr. William J. Stevenson, Celebrant. A rosary will be prayed Saturday at the church at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Capuchin Soup Kitchen, 1760 Mt. Elliot Ave., Detroit, MI 48207-3496.
