Bob Ufer QB Club golf outing set for May 7

The 54th annual Bob Ufer Quarterback Club golf outing and banquet will be held May 7. A golf tournament will be held in the morning at the University of Michigan Golf Course, followed by dinner at 5:30 p.m. at the Barton Hills Country Club in Ann Arbor. There are still openings for both events. The banquet annually honors U-M senior athletes, and this year will feature Oosterbaan Award recipient and 1968 football All-American Ron Johnson, and master of ceremonies and former U-M running back Jamie Morris, who broke Johnson’s then-U-M career rushing record. Over the past 17 years, the event has helped fund 70 Bob Ufer Scholarships, which benefit senior athletes from Pioneer and Huron high schools attending U-M.
