Passed away on July 14, 2001 at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital at the age of 67. Born on September 11, 1933 in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he was the son of Gerdes and Julia Onago. Robert retired from the City of Ann Arbor Water Treatment Plant. He served in the United States Army from 1953 to 1955 with occupation forces in Germany. He attended the First Baptist Church. Robert had a passion for model trains and the railroad, he also loved farming. Robert touched many peoples lives with kindness. He is survived by many special friends, especially, Robert R. Weber. There will be a visitation held on Tuesday, July 17, 2001 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Muehlig Funeral Chapel. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 18 at 2 p.m. with an hour visitation prior to the service. A brief graveside will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
