Died August 16, 2002 at Glacier Hills Nursing Home. She was born June 21, 1914 in Grand Rapids, MI the daughter of Beulah Dillingham Mitchell & Elmer Dayton Mitchell. She graduated from University High School and then attended the University of Michigan where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1935. She was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority. On June 10th, 1939 she married Robert Grimshaw Dailey of Ypsilanti. Following the Second World War, the couple moved to Ann Arbor where they happily lived for the rest of their days. Her husband predeceased her in 1993. She is survived by her two sons, Robert (Christine) and James (Janine) of Ann Arbor, two grandchildren, Susan and James; and a brother, Robert D. Mitchell of Winnetka, Illinois. Cremation has taken place. There will be a family visitation Monday, August 19, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Muehlig Funeral Chapel, 403 S. Fourth Ave., Ann Arbor. Memorial contributions may be made to Ann Arbor Area Community Foundation, 201 S. Main, Ann Arbor, 48104 and the Humane Society of Huron Valley, 3100 Cherry Hill Rd., Ann Arbor, 48105.
