We should do all we can to keep our water clean

You all know, don’t you, that we get 90 percent of our water from the Huron River. Where does the river get its water? From aquifers, run-off from streets, fields, streams, rain. It has to be cleaned up before we can drink it.

There are constant threats to it; for instance, the Pall plume, and now salts from water softeners, plus what you do - put lots of fertilizers on your yard and garden, dump stuff like oil down the drain, harsh cleaners down the sink. And guess what - we can’t live without water and there isn’t any more on earth than there was 2,000 years ago. Think this through and do what you can to conserve and help keep it clean.
