Pollution is spreading further into Ann Arbor
Pollution is spreading further into Ann Arbor
We have had reports in The News of further problems with the polluted plume from Pall Life Sciences. This plume, instead of being mitigated, seems to be spreading further, even under Veterans’ Park. This is more alarming after all these years of fighting to get an adequate cleanup. It is a matter of continuing the fight, but also to note that finger-pointing at villains does no good. I read in Dante’s “Inferno” that the sinners were very good at pointing to the other fellow for doing wrong, but not mentioning his/her own vile misdeeds. We should not fall into the same trap but continue urging our legislators and commissions to do what is right and needed. We can not allow our water supply to be endangered further. So stay alert and let your voice be heard. -Virginia VandenBroek, Ann Arbor
