Tickets available for Ufer Quarterback Club

Openings are still available for the banquet celebrating the 58th annual Bob Ufer Quarterback Club on Monday at Barton Hills Country Club. Named for the well known Michigan football broadcaster, the banquet honors Michigan senior athletes. Tickets are $70, and the money goes to scholarships awarded to Pioneer and Huron High School students who are going to the University of Michigan. Over the past 23 years, the Bob Ufer Scholarship Fund has awarded 89 scholarships totaling $450,000. This years senior athlete award winners are Braylon Edwards, Betsey Armstrong, Ryan Bertin, Jessica Merchant, Laura Olin, Elise Ray and Lindsay Gallo.
