Carpenter, Phillip D. Ypsilanti, MI. Age 51, passed away Saturday, August 5, 2006 at his home. He was born on September 20, 1954, in Stockbridge, Michigan. He is preceded in death by his infant daughter, Carrie, his parents Dorsie and Edna, and three brothers, Earnest, Gordon and Jack. Surviving are his wife, Terri, his son, Chase, two sisters, Joan (Ron) Angonese and Rhonda Onderdonk of Ann Arbor, and two brothers, D.J. (Penny) Carpenter of Florida, and Larry (Vera) Carpenter of Jackson. Funeral services will be held on Thursday August 11, 2006 at 11 a.m. from the Staffan-Mitchell Funeral Home in Chelsea. with Parson Billy Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery, Manchester. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family. Visitation is Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
