AADL Presents The 2013 German-American Gaming League International Championships!

Saturday May 18, 2013: 11:00 am to 2:00 pm -- Downtown Library: 4th Floor Meeting Room
AADL is teaming up with the U.S. State Department and Germany's Zukunftswerkstatt (Future Workshop) to present this special event, matching three of Ann Arbor's best gamers with three winners of the German Library Gaming League to pursue ultimate LIBRARY GAMING VICTORY!
Three German Teens, ages 13, 15, and 18, are traveling to the US to compete at this May 18 tournament at the Downtown Library. They won their trips to the US at the Finals.
Cheer on your hometown gamers or our visiting German friends in a madcap sequence of video game contests, from the familiar to the bizarre, with INTERNATIONAL GLORY on the line!
This event is for teens (grades 6 - 12).

The Race to Space: Kerbal Space Program

Design and fly spacecraft that are capable of trans-continental or even interplanetary travel!
Kerbal Space Program is a multi-genre game where the players create their own space program. It is a Slapdash Spaceflight Sandbox, where you will be given complete control of your nation's space program. There will be a prize awarded for the farthest successful return trip!

Minecraft: The Hunger Games!

This is your chance to compete for the ultimate prize...your lives! The Hunger Games is a hit YA book series and a popular competitive game in the world of Minecraft.
AADL's Minecraft server is up and running! We're hosting our own Minecraft server and we need you to help us build "Ann Arbor." Feel free to play Hunger Games or just join this meeting and help us build Ann Arbor. It's a great way to meet people you've seen on the server and coordinate new builds.
