As a s~acefor independent and experimental 16n'm cinema and to el'lCOlXage the work ci the
independent filmmaker and promote the concept ci film as art, the Am Arbor community is pleased
to present the 29th Ann Arbor Film Festival.

This year's Festival is dedicated to Ernie "for the last time the song ci the Utle is heard thr~
the land" Harwell.

WAR! Huh! Good God, y'all! What is it good for? Absolutely nothin'! Say it again!
THE SCREENING COMMITIEE
Each film submitted to the Festival is screened in its entirety by the Screening Committee. Because
the m.mber ci entries exceeds the public screening time, not every film can be prog-ammed. The
function ci the committee is to select as many films for the public screening as time allows. The
members of this year's Screening Convnittee are Java Dee-lite, Col4le de Mille, Stu Gott, Gno I.
Dea, Cheez Lew-Eez, Mr. Reese, and Flesh Monll'Tlent.

THE AWARDS JURY
The function of the Awards Jury is to: (1) screen all entries that have been prog-arnmed into the pttlIic
screenings, and others as time allows; (2) distribute the awards money; and (3) suggest the prog-am ci
awarded films and hig,ligrt5 for Sunday nigrt wimers screenings. Decisions regarding awards and the
distribution ci prize monies are the prerogative of the Awards Jury: their decisions are final. This year's
Awards Jury is as follows:

Zeinabu irene Davis -Feminist African American independent filmmaker and Assistant Professor ci
Film at Antioch College in Yellow Springs, Ohio.
Heather McAdams -Independent filmmaker, performance artist, and Chicago Reader cartoonist.
