The Kids Area of the Downtown Library is closed for reorganization & renovations that will last up to 8 weeks. Storytimes, a small selection of kids' books, and a play area are available in the Lobby. More info here.
AADL has a growing selection of digital books, music, and more that cardholders can download to a range of devices. We are constantly working with publishers and content creators to expand our offerings. Accessing these items is as simple as logging in to your AADL account and clicking on the catalog record for the item you would like to use!
AADL also participates in an eBook, eAudiobook, and digital magazine lending service called OverDrive through the Midwest Collaborative for Library Services consortium. This is where you will find new and popular ebooks and audiobooks produced by mainstream publishers. This service allows AADL cardholders to borrow up to ten items at a time for a lending period of up to 21 days and view them on a compatible device or in-browser. These items can be borrowed and read in-browser or by using the Libby App.
Get Started with OverDrive
