Wacky submitted by yugure on November 6, 2012, 4:16pm A bit wacky and unbelievable in some parts, but overall entertaining!

Fun read for middle schoolers. submitted by Ellen R. on July 6, 2013, 11:19am In this book, Donovan Curtis pulls a big prank, but--due to a fluke and a little bit of luck--mistakenly gets sent to a distinguished honor program instead of getting punished. Although far behind his new classmates in brains, he soon finds a special place among them. But how long can Donovan keep up the mirage? The narrator changes with each new chapter, which allows Donovan, his classmates, their teachers, and others to all share their perspectives.

This book felt a little like a wackier, lighter, more robot-filled readalike of R.J. Palacio's "Wonder." It presented a nice reminder that brainiacs have issues too, and even mischief-minded folks can be thoughtful and sensitive. For middle schoolers (and others, too!) looking for something both relatable and fun, "Ungifted" might be a good choice.

Great, Sweet Book submitted by Laura Hailes on July 2, 2021, 1:16pm This is a great book about how an underdog comes out on top in the end.

great submitted by xijin Hiraga on June 20, 2022, 2:56pm this book is great because it's about how a kid, who has a problem of doing things he isn't meant to do, gets accidentally sent to this school with kids that have high talents.
