Move over, Goodnight Moon submitted by AndAReaderToo on July 28, 2022, 10:03pm This is a great bed-time book for toddlers and young children. The illustrations in are soothing in all black, white, and yellow, so they set the mood for relaxation. They are very detailed so there’s plenty to keep their interest while nudging towards a calm, safe, dream-like place. The book has a very basic story-line about everything being all settled in for the night, but in the middle has you imagine a bird flying out of the book, up above the landscape pictured within (also edging on dreamland). The lines create a melodic rhythm while reading. Combine this with the wondrously gorgeous illustrations and you have my favorite children’s bed-time book.
