Wanted to love it but couldn’t finish submitted by jacks404 on July 27, 2021, 7:37pm It got tedious about 3/4 through. Some really funny writing in the beginning though. If you like books with lots of descriptive language - maybe you’ll have better luck than me.

All Time Classic submitted by zman on July 10, 2023, 11:25am One of my favorite novels of all time. Witty, hilarious writing from the perspective of an immigrant. Trying to give a voice to Vietnamese when the usual portrayals of the Vietnam war and it's aftermath focuses wholly on Americans.

Fantastic writing submitted by asjackson on June 24, 2024, 1:05pm A really unique read - witty, loaded with dark humor and historical context, and best of all, very well written. Told from the perspective of an unnamed double-agent, the book leads you to wonder the same things he does and everyone around him must as well - what is the point of this war, anyway? What is either side fighting for?
