Modern Indian Stories for Kids submitted by sdunav on August 13, 2011, 9:53am These are wonderful stories, perfect for 7-10 year olds, about an Indian kid who lives with his grandpa in Chicago. They would be perfect to read around Thanksgiving time, when the schools emphasize Native heritage and history - and kids unfortunately assume that Indians are as extinct (and exotic) as passenger pigeons.
