Girl Power! submitted by sdunav on June 16, 2014, 12:46pm Interesting middle-grade fantasy - if your 8-12 y.o. daughter likes fantasy, give this a try. It's not as awesome as Princess Academy by Shannon Hale....but very little is.
A Good Read

The characters appeal, the story engages, and some stereotypes are turned on their heads.
It's a good book - and the author is local, too.
