Harrowing Classic submitted by Meginator on June 22, 2017, 11:00am More than 100 years have passed since the Titanic's sinking, yet it remains strangely captivating as a window into a different social world. "A Night to Remember" may be the best-known book about the sinking, and it mostly deserves its reputation. Walter focuses on the passengers and, thus, the book reads more like a novel than a factual history. Lord isn't among the greatest wordsmiths, and the lack of historical context is glaring to the modern eye, but "A Night to Remember" holds up well and effectively creates a thread of connection to the past.
